Branding

Double B

This project focused on developing a cohesive brand identity for Double B, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to expanding access to integrative health services. The work included brand strategy, visual identity, and supporting assets such as printed materials and a digital presence, all designed to reflect the organization’s mission, values, and personal founding story. The goal was to create a brand that felt trustworthy, compassionate, and clear, while communicating how integrative health, therapy, and neurofeedback are connected.

LOGO ANATOMY

The Double B logo is formed from two mirrored “B” shapes, representing Pam Brown and her husband, Geno Basset, the founders of the foundation. Together, the two forms work in unison, symbolizing partnership, support, and a shared vision for accessible care.

When combined, the shapes create a subtle heart and a destination pin, reflecting both compassion and journey. The heart speaks to care, generosity, and love, while the pin represents guidance, direction, and the path toward healing. This dual meaning reflects the foundation’s purpose to support individuals as they navigate their own healing journeys.

The balanced, simplified structure of the mark conveys trust, stability, and connection, allowing the logo to function clearly across print and digital applications while remaining rooted in the story and mission of Double B.

COLOR PALETTE

This color palette was chosen to evoke growth, renewal, and a sense of vitality, reflecting the foundation’s commitment to supporting individuals on their healing journeys. The colors are intended to feel approachable and uplifting, while also representing the financial support that makes integrative health, therapy, and neurofeedback more accessible to those who need it. Together, the palette reinforces a sense of trust, stability, and care, creating a visual identity that feels both compassionate and professional across print and digital materials.

IN ACTION

One of the main challenges is achieving a seamless blend between the spiral’s organic curves and the digital medium’s precision. The artwork must avoid appearing too mechanical or artificial, instead highlighting the natural, fluid qualities of the spiral.

Another challenge is ensuring the coral color remains vivid and harmonious with the background gradient, avoiding any visual clash or loss of contrast. Maintaining visual interest without overcrowding the composition is also essential.
